1993: Perez de Cueller Denies Witnessing UFO Abduction

In August 1993, American investigator, Bud Hopkins, received a letter from Javier Perez de Cueller. It was a reply to a letter sent to the former Secretary General of the United Nations. Hopkins wanted to know if Perez de Cueller would admit to having witnessed the abduction of a woman. De Cueller's reply was fairly non-committal, but did the fact that he had written at all perhaps suggest something?

It all started when Hopkins was investigating Linda Napolitano for multiple abductions. Her latest, which occurred on November 30th 1989, was to prove much different.

Linda lived in a high rise apartment in Manhattan. She claimed that entities had floated her out through a window into a hovering UFO. In March 1991 Hopkins received a letter from two men claiming to have actually witnessed the abduction while parked in the streets below, indeed their limousine had unaccountably stalled. The men said they were police bodyguards for top politicians and that on that particular night they were in the company of Perez de Cueller.

A further witness came forward. She said that while driving over the Brooklyn Bridge with others, her engine had stalled and she had seen the abduction taking place. However, nearby workers saw nothing.

Since his letter to Bud Hopkins, Perez de Cueller has been approached by other parties and he has flatly denied being in New York that night.

Hopkins is undoubtedly sincere. Was he set up? Did the phenomenon stage the abduction especially for the statesman?
